"If permission is granted, the Hajj will cost Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh," officials said
Officials at the Ministry of Religious Affairs have made it clear that if Saudi Arabia allows foreigners to perform the Hajj, it will cost Pakistani pilgrims between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 1 million this year.
Briefing the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, officials said Saudi Arabia had not yet said whether it would allow pilgrims from abroad to perform the Hajj. If pilgrims from abroad get permission, a pilgrim from Pakistan will have to spend Rs. 8 to 1 million.
Officials hope that Saudi officials will also recognize the Chinese vaccine during the Hajj. It should be noted that Saudi Arabia is still not allowing people to be vaccinated against Chinese vaccines. Most of the Chinese vaccines are being administered to the citizens of Pakistan. If Saudi Arabia does not recognize the Chinese vaccine, problems may arise for Pakistani pilgrims.
