Saudi Arabia decides to allow foreigners to perform Hajj

In this regard, the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Religious Harmony and Middle East Allama Tahir Ashrafi said that 60,000 foreign pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year.

He said that the decision of the Saudi government is welcome, people under the age of 18 will not be able to perform Hajj.

He said that those wishing to perform Hajj would have to submit a medical certificate and those wishing to do so would have to report that they did not fall ill within six months.

A few months ago, the Saudi government granted conditional permission for the Hajj this year to prevent the spread of the global Corona epidemic.

According to Arab media, a spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Hajj has said that health experts are reviewing the situation.

He said that all measures are being taken to ensure hygiene while the details of the operational plan of Hajj will be announced later.

It may be recalled that two months ago, Saudi Arabia had made it clear that the corona vaccine would be made mandatory for pilgrims.
